Welcome to Coral Ridge Baptist Ministries in the Southside / West Beaches part of Jacksonville Florida. We are a Bible-believing, scripture teaching fellowship. We believe that God's inerrant word is the final authority. We are a true New Testament church and we believe that each individual person has special gifts from God that can be used for His glory, and we encourage each person to contribute in his or her own way. Our services have been described as inspirational, electifying, informative and exciting. Our people are warm, friendly, "just folks", and we would welcome you as a guest at any time. Our services are Sunday morning at 10:30 AM and Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM. Come See For Yourself! For more information call us at (904) 642-2726.

Almighty God, we make our earnest prayer that thou wilt keep the United States in thy holy protection; that thou wilt incline the hearts of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to government; to entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow citizens of the United States at large. And, finally, that thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that character, humility and pacific temper of mind, which were characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion, and without an humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication, we beseech thee. Amen. -George Washington |

The assault upon religious freedom by anti-Christian liberal educators is pervasive throughout American institutions of higher learning. Tenured Professor Walter Kehowski at Maricopa Community College in Arizona on November 22, 2006, the day before Thanksgiving, sent an e-mail message containing George Washington’s Thanksgiving Proclamation of 1789. The college president, Velvie Green and colleagues of the professor deemed this as “hostile, derogatory harassment,” and he has been placed on administrative leave pending his dismissal. A personal call to president Green asking what was in the Proclamation that was offensive was stone-walled. The offices of Arizona Senators McCain and Kyl were apprised of this un-American outrage which will be investigated.Thanksgiving Proclamation of 1789 “Now, therefore, I do recommend and assign Thursday, the 26th day of November next, to be devoted by the people of these states to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be. That we may then all unite in the rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection of the people of this country previous to their becoming a nation-for the single and manifold mercies and for the favorable interpretation of His providence, in the course and conclusion of the war.” George Washington |
